Medtronic Donates $35,000 and Employee Volunteer Time to QLD Floods

We’re thrilled to announce that the Medtronic Foundation is donating $25,000 towards the Queensland flood disaster. This donation will be used to support multiple Red Cross evacuation centres and provide immediate basic-needs relief to those affected by the devastating floods which have affected 51 of the state’s 73 council areas and flooded 11,900 homes and 2500 businesses.

On top of the Medtronic Foundation grant, Medtronic Australasia has committed an extra $10,000 to the Qld Premier’s Flood Relief Fund.

Furthermore, employees who wish to volunteer time to help in relief efforts may receive up to five paid days off to help with the disaster recovery efforts.

In these ways, we are living our Mission to alleviate pain, restore health and extend life.
